TURKISH - GERMAN CULTURE AND DESIGN EVENT
Berlin Workshop Week "Creative City" 21.-24. November 2016
The meeting of Turkish - German students and lecturars collaboration of Interior Architecture, Architecture and Design took place in Berlin-Germany, between 21-24 November 2016. The event, was organized by BAU International Berlin University of Applied Sciences and contains 4 titles: Kotbusser Tor, Faces of Berlin, Inbetween Spaces and illuminated City. Every work is conducted by Turkish and German teaching members and participants are their 7 Turkish and 7 German students. The event is among the workshops of the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts 7th International Student Triennial.
Participating from Our Faculty member, Marmara University, Fine Arts Faculty, Interior Design Department Assist.Prof. Ayşe DORA ERDILEK. Works with Dipl.-Ing. Architekt Wolfram RICHTER, from Hochschule Coburg / University of Applied Sciences.
Workshop Title : "Faces of Berlin"
Workshop Theme: Taking photos and drawing sketches in the city areas. Location; “BAU Berlin Campus”, and in&out city spaces in Berlin. Main content of this workshop is drawing free hand perspective drawings supported by photography. Old-New, East-West was analyze. Four days designing, drawing and searching results were presented in an impressive exhibition.
Exhibition of the lecturars and their students took place at the University of Applied Sciences at BAU International Berlin, at 24/11/2016.

Berlin 2014 Design Campus, “Temporary Eternity” 2.-8. November 2014, Berlin - Germany
German and Turkish Universities together with under the leadership of BAU Campus are setting up a small program for academician trainers and their students. 11 Universities, 11 Workshops
11 Students from each University. Mixed Turkish-German Workshops around 170 Participants.
Participants from; Commerce University, Istanbul Technical University, Kadir Has University, Karadniz Technical University, Marmara University, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd, HfT Stuttgart, FH Aachen, HS Coburg, Bahçeşehir University.

Workshop Title : “Sketching Faces of Berlin”.
Workshop Theme: Taking photos and drawing sketches in the city areas. Location; “BAU Berlin Campus”, and in&out city spaces in Berlin.

Exhibition : Art and Design Workshop experience was performed on and around the BAU Campus at the special atmosphere of Berlin and exhibited “Kunstquartier Bethanien” building.

İstanbul 2013 Design Campus
“11th İstanbul Turkish – German Designers and Universities Meeting” was held between 11-15 November 2013 with participation of the lecturers and students of the İstanbul Commerce, İstanbul Technical, Kadir Has, Karadeniz Technical, Marmara, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts, FH Aachen, Coburg ve HfG Universities.
Within the scope of the “Skin of the City” themed meeting, there were 13 workshops with different contents.
The workshops, which were conducted by the lecturers of our department and the German lecturers, are as follows:

Faces of İstanbul; Prof. Wolfram Richter, Assist.Prof.Elif Ayşe Dora Erdilek.
Paper City; Michael Hilkert, Res.Assist.Seylan Öztürk.
Other workshops of the meeting were: Open Source Guide, Furnishing the Skin, Pedestrian and handicapped accessibility of urban skins at Eminönü Square, View of Istanbul from Above/Top Hills, "Nomaden" Leuchten, Istanbul-Rooftop-Kahve-Bar, Street Prints for Street Living, Interior Architecture & Acoustics, RE Form, Workplace of the future.
“Skin of the City” themed “İstanbul 2013 Design Campus” meeting ended on 15th November 2013 with the exhibition at Istanbul Commerce University Eminönü Campus.
"Mapping Identity"
On the occasion of the 1st edition of the Istanbul Design Biennial, Milan-based architect and photographer Antonio Ottomanelli has continued his on-going Mapping Identity research.
